Duck Races and Dancing

Duck Races on the Bank Holiday Monday
It was a Bank Holiday on Monday.  We went to the neighborhood celebration in Whittle-le-Woods.  (How great a name is that for a town/)
For a pound you choose a duck with a number on it.  They are all dumped in the stream and the winners get cash prizes.  The rest goes to charity.

Included in the festivities was dancing by the Stone the Crows folk dancing group.  They perform dances from the Welsh/English Border.  They dressed as crows and black faces kept employers from recognizing their employees who were out making a little extra money.
