It really is true, there are people being prepared right now for the restored gospel. We just need to talk to everyone to find out who they are.
Today on the streets we found at least 16 who were willing to listen to the missionaries further and many more who took a Book of Mormon and this with only 8 companionships.
If you ask sincere questions and listen, there is something in the gospel that can help everyone. I talked to so many people today who had bad things destroy their faith. The Atonement fixes it all.
On the train to Manchester I talked to a race - runner. He was going to give a seminar on racing - across the Sahara!. It is a 7 day race: marathons on the first and last three days and a double marathon on the middle day. Not only that, he has raced across Alaska and plans to do it again in February, yes - 40+ degrees. They run the first 350 over the Iditarod track and the last 700 on their own. He was a very nice and man and actually looked quite sane. He started running at 50 and is now 60! This is him with the orange bag. I should have taken a real picture.
Jim, hurt his foot so I went as a teacher assistant. It was pretty lonely without my companion. But I did have a great adventure for lunch. I had a Kangaroo Burger -note the sign. The texture and color is much the same as beef and I really didn't detect any unusual taste. It was good with the onions and sauce. The choice was ostrich or kangaroo burgers at one of the stalls in the open market.
