Often on intake day we have many North Americans who arrive at the MTC about 10:30 A.M. Those from England, Scotland and Ireland come in the afternoon and the rest come in bits and pieces. This Arrival Day found only 9 American and then groups of 6 or more coming in regularly from all over the world.
It is going to be a very interesting 6 weeks. We have two districts of ESL missionaries who will need to learn English before they can teach the gospel in English. Some are pretty basic and one just looks at you. However, the miracle is that everyone has found someone that can translate in some small way for them. Our Armenians speak a little Russian and our Russian speaks English, the Spanish work with the Portuguese. It is amazing to see it all start to work.
