Edinburgh

There is usually a two-day break between our groups of missionaries. However, that has changed and there will only be one day from now on. So for our last break we rode the coach with the Scotland/Ireland Missionaries to Edinburgh. The bus picked up their trainers and we climbed "Pratt's Hill" or Arthur's Seat as the Scotts call it. It is the hill above Edinburgh where Parley P. Pratt dedicated Scotland and himself for the preaching of the gospel in 1840.

The missionaries did the same amid the heather-strewn slopes. The heather is in bloom right now and adds a lovely lavender hue to the hills. The view from the top was spectacular. Edinburgh Castle can be seen through the mist.

Missionary work is going well here in Great Britain. We are seeing wonderful, prepared missionaries ready to serve the Lord and do hard things. They come in as teenagers and go out as young men with purpose and dedication.
